Johnson City: Butterfly Bonanza (+ Bats & Bees)

April 24, 2021 - 10:00am to 2:00pm

Celebrate Earth Day at the Science Mill with Butterfly Bonanza (+ Bats & Bees)! Receive a butterfly to release in the outdoor Butterfly Garden (while available)! Marvel at the monarch’s epic migration in the big-screen film Flight of the Butterfly. Make wildflower seed bombs to support local bees, and get gardening tips to make your yard a pollinator pit stop. Meet real bats from Southern Wildlife Rehab and try out a “bat’s eye view” of navigating with echolocation.

Special activities run from 10am-2pm; explore the Science Mill’s 50+ hands-on exhibits inside and outdoors from 10am-4pm. Reserve tickets online to help ensure space for all and provide contact-free entry.
