The Smith-Ritch Point Theatre is a 722-seat outdoor theatre seated on the banks of the beautiful Guadalupe River. Operating as the longest running outdoor theatre in Texas, “The Point” started in the summer of 1959. The summer season includes a musical and two comedy/dramas which feature talented volunteers. The Point is a true Texas Hill Country gem and a summer tradition for many families. Adjacent to the theatre is the Duncan-McAshan Visual Arts Center which features exhibitions, workshops and studio opportunities for visual artists of all ages Operated by the Hill Country Arts Foundation.
